A recommendation is a starting point
What suits one person, one space and one budget may not suit yours. Where something can be stated as fact — a dimension, a weight limit, a specification — it is taken from the manufacturer or the retailer’s listing. Where it cannot — comfort, build feel, whether a thing is pleasant to live with — it is a judgement, and should be read as one.
Information goes out of date
Manufacturers revise products without changing the model name. Prices and availability move constantly, and any price quoted was accurate when written. When a change materially alters a recommendation, the article is updated and the change dated. Even so, check current specifications, compatibility and pricing with the manufacturer or retailer before you buy.
